I shall sit at the back observing all distancing .
Morning all,
My first update:- started on the office and seats, and in the process of allowing paint to dry, have started on nose wheel sub assembly and rear lower fuselage with undercarriage housing. First impressions is that mould quality is quite good, instructions are a bit 'loose', need for plenty of dry fits as some of the 3-D images are difficult to follow and are open to misinterpretation. So proceeding with caution.
The 'office' I have researched for some photos on line, in addition to the paint instructions.
So 'office' first:-

The ejection seats are roughly painted, as I have to add the p.e. parts, will touch up afterwards.
Next the lower fuselage sub assemblies:-
The u/c stowage areas are painted.
Next steps are finishing instrument panels, add the supplied decals, and build on the sub-assemblies. Sort out nose weight, 60 gms specified.

The work on the cockpit is outstanding.
+1 on that Chris. Superb office Alun.
Great to see this one being built.. I quit fancy one, but £139.00 and Italeri just didn't seem to go hand in hand. But as you've taken the plunge, I'll be happy to watch.
The detail in the cockpit is rather good and very well painted as well.

Quick update, office ready for placing into fuselage, seats still in progress:-
A few small touch-ups and a couple of smudges to remove, then ready to join front halves. Nose radar and nosewheel go in at the next stage.

PLENTY of lead in the nose Alun as im sure this will be a tail sitter without it an that would spoil the day but im looking forwards to seeing this built

Evening all and a Happy New Year to all.
First update for 2021
Slowly progressing, have started on tail plane elements, air brakes and engines. There is an option to have one engine out, displayed on a trolley, but not decided yet.
A lot of paint detailing to follow on the engine externals.
Added the rubber gater for swing wing.
Air brakes internal paint added. Cylinders in for paint.
PE parts added to tail
That's it for now, pleased to carry on with this in lockdown.

Have put the engines in lower fuselage, with rear control surfaces already fixed. Put the nose section on as a dry fit, a bit of fettling required to make a nice slide fit. Engine deflectors next which will be fiddly.
As you can see by mat and knife, it is quite a lump! Wings need to be assembled before top and bottom half are attached.

I done a double take on those engines, I thought they were reference pic's at first.

Been working on the wings, almost ready now for assembly, debating whether to paint and decal some parts before assembly, mainly due to the size of the thing.
Wings have flaps down, air brakes active and slats displayed. A few issues still with instructions, angles of slat and flap fixing, not really defined.
Added some pods to nose, and refuelling nozzle housing.
