If anyone is in the area of the Norfolk Tank Museum on the 15th of August it would be great to see you. Myself and a fellow modeller from our local club have been asked to show some of our work with two other people. Not really sure what to expect or the details but will let you know later.

I'm going to have to check where it is, (at the moment just know that it's to the West of Long Stratton somewhere) and if I'm not working.

If it weren't for the Indian, Meditteranean seas and the European Continent, I'd try to make it.

Cheers,
Richard

Took the grandkids there year before last. Enjoyed a few hours walking around. It's a nice little museum. A dozen or so tanks set on an old farm field, with a few displays in the main shed.
One of the staff, (young lad, can't remember his name!), is a keen modeller, and they have a few kits on display in glass cases. I'm sure your stuff will impress.
I'm due on holiday on Monday 16th, but if I get the chance will pop along - i'm only about an hour away; be nice to meet up, see your models and put a face to the name. Will do if I can.
Best of luck with it anyway.

Wondering if it'll interest a 5 year old?
Know that he looks at my latest attempt at a diorama (started to strip it down to dump, so all models off) dragged me through to ask where they'd all gone.

It may do, depending on the child. My grandkids were 8 and 10 at the time, and it held some interest for them. There is a tea shop they liked (chocolate bars and juice) and a viewing hut they enjoyed climbing up, in and around. If the armourfest is on this year it may be better to wait for that? Unfortunately it was cancelled due to covid the year we visited.
Edit - it's this weekend! Sunday, August 15th :smiling3:
Second edit - it was last year we visited, funnily enough, almost to the day.

It will be good to meet up if you get the chance I will be there with another armour modeller from my club who is also called Dale.

Just to let you know Armourfest is on that day as well, I think you might have to book your ticket in advance.
I'm travelling up from Surrey a bit of a hike of might see some of you there.

As Dale said it would depend on the child but I think that although they don't really know what they are looking at they like the size of things.

Pete, I wasn't aware of that but that explains why we were asked to attend as their are two from my club and two from the Norfolk club. It would be good to see you.

Your hear me before you see me, I'll be the one dragging the iron lung :smiling5::smiling5::smiling5:.
