Never heard of Fore Hobby.................Scalemates says it's new tooling & has turned metal parts, as well as PE - sounds expensive!
Saw this on the modeling news. At this rate the forum will be over run with these floaty things, Dave, Bob, and Chris should be thrilled.

edit: OOps, sorry, Lee, missed your post!:rolling:
All to do with $$$$$$$$$ - you get more for two kits than you do fpr one.I’ve said it before, but I don’t see the sense this makes from the manufacturer’s point of view. They now have to have two sets of boxes, instructions and markings printed, do logistics for two kits, etc. while modellers — like you say — will simply buy two anyway if they want to build both.
Exactly that! The kit that does “both“ jobs has a higher production cost due to the included alternative parts and decals and in turn this reduces kit profit. This reduction may be marginal but it’s there..If a buyer wants to build both kits, they buy it twice, doubling this loss. All to do with $$$$$$$$$ - you get more for two kits than you do fpr one.
