I'm glad you're squared away mate - it's been said before but always remember the night really does seem darker just before the dawn. Take care, keep smiling, and --- finish that boaty thing (even with that bloody awful hangar deck aft)!

........................................Chris.. A little thought.

Your friend has not gone away

He will always be there to stay

You will think of him many a day

Those times of fun & friendship

Stored safely, carefully just to share

Sad, yes, but, oh not to long, please

After all he would not want that.

Chris just think of the good times.

Have a good hearty laugh at the past fun times.

As the man said.

A sleep I shall have
A rest I shall have
Yet death will be but a pause.

The spirit of the past is always there & with a good friend never diminishes.

Chris mate, a cheerful, enthusiastic, and caring person like you will never run out of friends. Try and live in the “now” and enjoy the time you have with your friends. Continually worrying about loss will simply erode the time left and will not change the outcome. Chin up and get that boat built!

At my ancient age tis also true Chris.

I worked with in the construction industry for 50 years

I used to be able to walk down St Helier's main shopping street on a Saturday.
During that walk of 15 minutes I would pass & say hello to half a dozen of those I knew.

And now hardly any. However those I do meet remind me of those I used
to meet. I met one character a few days ago sitting by himself near the harbour.
Imagine that he was alone in the world. A smile when I spoke to him meant a lot. Both
to him & me.
