An almost trouble free build just joining the wheel fairings together other than that one that I have always wanted to build and I am pleased with the result.

Same as Andy, ever since I saw these in the 1980 Matchbox catalog I thought the Lysander just has a strange look that I like, and your model is looking pretty good

I always wonder how these cob aircraft flew at all, let alone manage to take off and land in a very short distance. Usually a field in N. France....

Peter, a very nice model of a fascinating even if pretty ugly :rolling: aircraft. I love the copper painted band on the engine cowling.

That is a cracking build mate. Do you know or can anyone enlighten me as to why British radial engines had a copper finish to the front of the engine cowl.

That is a little belter Peter. A very under represented aircraft.
Well in fact it is steel and is the exhaust collection ring. The copper colour is due to the heat affecting the steel.
