Sdkfz. 250/ ? Ausf. A

Looking very nice Ron. It’s an interesting vehicle with plenty of variants to keep you happy. Almost as many as the better known 251..
I made the Dragon 250/11 about ten years ago. Made a rookie mistake when putting the hull top on though….I didn’t realise the step in the armour plate join was deliberate and spent ages filling and sanding it (along with swearing about the poor fit). All the pictures I could find seemed to show it as a smooth join….until I found one taken in conditions without harsh shadows. Needless to say this was after I’d finished the unnecessary remedial work …..

Thank You Tim ! Yep, the storage section of my display case is stocked with mishaps and duds like that... I never have the heart to throw away my mistakes, at some point they become valuable parts donors. Thankfully as of late, I'm having more successes and those still-in-the-game, than not !

Here's where I'm at with the interior . Weathering is heavy, sure. That tends to be my dark style. The fuel / oil stains are too heavy-handed and probably not realistic to "motor-heads" but hey here it is. Looks okay to me lol. Okay, once it's dried I might try to reduce the staining, will see. It's been a fun weekend with this project but I'm weary and need to take a break before moving on.... hope you all like, open to alternate thoughts of course, please.
PS yep I managed to lose the steering collumn linkage, will fab something before I attach upper hull.

Wowzer Ron, that is looking ready to go together except for the errant linkage. Will you be "stuffing" it with crew after all or is that 10 guys in a phone booth thing a little off your style?:tongue-out2::thumb2:;) Rick H.

Nah Rick, this is going to be portrayed as "quickly abandoned" with a lot of spent shells from the MG42 littering the crew comparment floor. I think I'll have one lone G.I. with a BAR -or- a Paratrooper with a Thompson , poking around cautiously to insure that all the previous tenants have indeed vacated

Sounds interesting Ron.......so there will be some CITB, just no bodies to worry about;) Rick H.

These are cute and compact to build Ron and you've managed to detail it too. Idea of being abandoned is good. Always lurking.

Cheers,
Richard

Great work Ron. An evident reason to abandon would be cool. It doesn't have to be catastrophic. Just a thought w/first cuppa.

Been following along, quietly, from my cheap seat Ron ;) .....
.... But I have to break radio silence after that last set of pics mate!!
... Absolutely lovely work on that interior, both engine compartment and cargo area :)
Can't get my head around covering some of it up.... Such a shame!!
Superb stuff buddy....
Andy,(Now settling back into my cheap seat :) )

Ron all looks good to me as well and a shame to cover some of it up for sure. What product did you use for the fuel stains?
