Scotties panzer lll

Hi Scottie, as usual I must have been asleep somewhere and completely missed this but better late than never. Only seat left up in the gods. Really nice looking kit for you to work your magic on.

Mick,
No worries mate, there are so many great builds going on it is hard to keep up.

The build is going on slowly but surely. I have removed the fenders and replaced them with the etch offerings the kit took some fettling as the etch is designed for the Italeri offering. I think they look ok I might give them a few dints later.

I have decided to go for the up armoured version which has some additional armour to the front of the drivers position and the mantlet.

I have just noticed a tab I have failed to clean up.

Nice update my friend. Not seen screw heads moulded into etch before??? Did you have to do something to create the look??

Hi Scottie
The pe looks good. You made it fit fine. Definitely nice sharp details.

Hi Steve, No the detail was in the etch and looks pretty good. This is the Aber set. I do need to tidy up the hinge a bit tho looking at the picture.

The rear hull has been fitted. Replaced the kit tow rope with some copper wire. The vehicle has two ropes but decided to fit one the other is MIA.

Very neat building. Worth the time as a clean, careful build makes painting easier.

Thanks Tim, apart from the PE I haven't had to scratch anything apart from drilling the hull MG barrel.

Cheers Andrew, not sure what edge you mean though.

As usual, you have put a lot of extra detail in, makes a big difference.:thumb2:

Nice idea of leaving one tow cable off to stir the imagination Paul. Did you have to anneal the existing one to form those bends so nicely, or is it cooperative without ?
