Might be an idea to get Jen a wheelchair. My missus was told our local hospital could "lend" her one, but they'd have to charge for it! She found one for about £40 so she could at least get around the house. She also bought a larger motorised one for shopping trips etc. as she lives on her own.

There's an idea for you! How 'bout leavin' Jen in charge of the kitchen and you could pimp her wheelchair by adding say a V-twin motor, air horns, alloy wheels and sports exhaust! And don't forget to include retractable sword blades on the wheels for those ignorant pedestrians who just won't get out of her way! And maybe a couple of RPG launchers on the back for motorists who won't let her cross the road?

Great news Chris, get the kettle ready!!

I would recommend a StuG, closed doors not a problem, just blow the bloody doors off instead!

HI ALL WELL just been to see jen as they said she can come home today AN WELL no joy as the docs said she will have to stay in hos another night as she has broken her ankle in three places an i she has had two metal plates fitted in an held by 6 screws which are in for life so she did a right number on her ankle when she fell an she is in a lot of pain even with the pain killers an by god she looked tired out so got too go back tomorrow morn at 10am an they will then exsplain all the medication she will have to have an she has got to inject her self in the stomack to help her blood flow an thats for 6 wks but the nures were angels an i could not carry a comeode out to my car due to my back but the lovely nurse carried it out for me an it was a good way as the parkin was crazy but i was lucky as a women i who see me lookin for a space came over to me an said have our space as we r now goin an boy did that cause some probs as there were about six poeple all qued up waitin for a space an they were sayin thing i could not hear but by the looks on their face oh boy an i feel gulity now for que jumpin oh dear hope i dont have that prob tomorrow

That’s a bit rough Chris, but it will all soon become second nature. Hope the parking is better for you tomorrow, but if you queue jump again don’t feel guilty. You have got to look after Jen, and sometimes that means looking after yourself first.

Well, maybe a boombox - or whatever today's equivalent is - but I can't see Jen swanning all over the country in a wheelchair so she won't be needing satnav!

PS Just read that Jen's ankle is worse than you first thought Chris. Sorry to hear that, but it sounds like her recovery is under way. You tell her to take care and follow the doc's instructions.

PPS You should follow Jen's instructions when you're invading her kitchen! That way, you're less likely to end up in the hospital yourself!

I too believe in being fair and polite, but sometimes you do have to take care of number one mate. Give my best to Jen next time you speak.

YES WELL Tim i told her today all you guys send your best wishes on a speeedy recovery an she smiled an was happy for a few seconds untill her ankle stated to throb again boy is she gonna go through it worst than i did with my torn ligaments an that was agony for 5 months

So sorry that Jen has to stay for another night. Not long though until she is back at home. I hope parking is better. Hospitals really need to get parking issues sorted. Visiting a hospital is stressful at the best of times but not being able to park just makes things worse.
Jim
