Latest Acquisitions (2022)

This just arrived I know most you will know what this is they have changed the box it’s a lot deeper than previous so it’s a bit shorter as well it still packed overflowing with sprues
I have done a photographic review of every single spru that’s about 60 pic in all
I’ve shown a couple of the clear parts the last 2 are a normal view of the bomb aimers panel and final one is looking straight through the panel to show how clear and distortion free it is

Regards

Colin
Love it :) ..
.... AND the PlayStation driving set up just as much !! ;)

Lol £22.00 and that was the cheapest i could find anywhere, and thats for a 40ml tube. The 225ml tubes go for about £80 !!
I just checked, and even in the country where it’s made, it costs about €22 to buy a tube of that size. You can have 18 ml for only €13, though :)

Got this yesterday , for the revell focke wulf fw190 and any other luftwaffe stuff I might do. Its got a very good spread of colours that covers most needs ( apart from the later war 81/82/83 schemes ) Going to have a play and see if I can use vallejo thinners or if ive got to get the AK 3rd gen stuff . Hi all

So two more arrivals here....

The first was an eBay 'Buy it now' purchase at only £7 delivered and so I thought it would be rude not too, especially given what I have in mind for it...... ;)

The second is for my Hunters and Hunted Collection (link).

This is the third in a series of new tool Stirlings from Italeri. The 2nd one is a glider version and so no use for my collection, the Mk I is like hens teeth and stupidly pricey. This one has only just been released and is so new that I can't find any canopy masks for it yet. This is also the most expensive kit I have by a couple of quid, that said it was the cheapest price I could find anywhere and even came P&P free.....in fact it was 10-20% cheaper than most other places selling it.

Must admit, those Kongos had a hell of a bridge on them. Called a “Pagoda” bridge wasn’t it Bob? Must have been top heavy in any sort of sea and rolled excessively. Secondary battery looks quite “wet” in that image as well….were these updated first war designs?
Sorry missed the insults and turncoat a bit harsh me thinks. Still have a large amount of StuG kits Inc the 1/16

Yes Tim IJN had a obsession with pagoda Bridges, massive on the FUSE and ISE, must have made them very top heavy and a lot of there ships were

This just arrived, a "slease"bay buy it now. Still has the plastic seal wrap so I don't know if it is the gray or white styrene version yet.
Guess I'll find out when it comes time to build it.P1012260.JPG

That looks like the original boxing, same as my old one. Should be grey plastic I think……great stuff. Really brings back memories….

Great stuff Rick :) .....
..... What's the plan?
Andy

What's this, you going Napoleonic all of a sudden,Rick?
Not quite Neil......I spotted a similar little complex on the net that the Germans had converted into a field Hospital, as well as some of the uses Paule E has put this to, I thought I'd give one a try! It did come with 2 unopened boxes of soldiers,. 36 British Cav. and 48 Prussian Infantry. Lord knows what I'll do with them.

Hi Mr. Smiff, I just need a place to park all the Red Cross cars and Ambulances I have built, so thought this kit would make a nice little Field Hospital diorama.

HI all

So for some reason by wife decided my existing book case was not big enough for all the books I've bought since coming back to the hobby......I personally think it was very well balanced....... ;) :smiling5:

This resulted in a trip to Ikea today to buy this.....not perfect but the size of the space we have to get it into is very restricted and so we're pretty limited on choice......and it was only £25.

Junior helped with the assembly....and once we'd put these onto it......

It looks like the below.......I still have to properly sort out the order and the like but you get the idea......and I was even generous enough to let my wife have a shelf!!!:smiling5:

Oh and the second shelf down is my 'to be read' shelf'!

PS I do though still have at least three boxes of books in the loft from when I was a member of the Military and Aviation Book Society back in the late 80s and 90s

I've used both AKs and VMS, couldn't see any difference Tony. I add a few drops per 10 of paint .

Definitely a vast improvement Andrew. You wife was definitely right!
