Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2022)

I'm the happy owner of a Kobo reader and a Kindle as well as some hundreds of traditional books and I'm happy with all of them.
E Readers are easy to handle, are very useful when travelling or if you foresee a long waiting (e.g.: for medical analysis and/or an hospitalization) but you don't have so much space in your pockets, luggage or whatever. Moreover, if you like to read something in a foreign language you can easily access to the built-in dictionary whenever you find a word you don't know or whose meaning, at least the one you know, doesn't fit properly into the phrase; 9 times out of 10 (the missing 1 is often due to too much technical language and/or modern slang) that will solve the problem. Finally, e-books usually are priced much lower than the printed version. The main disadvantage has already been stated: they are not easy to scroll up and down at will.
Traditional books win the game whenever there are pictures, maps or the need to go back and forth through the text and last but not least, when you need to touch the paper and enjoy the scent of a printed book.

The main thing, just like in modelling, is having fun.

After seeing several others purchasing masks from this company I thought I’d give them a try on my Mosquito. Never heard of them before but nothing new there.

So I've got to stop listening to the James Holland and Al Murray podcast......or show more backbone!!

Although in this case they actually had two full shows discussing various topics with the author. 2nd hand and less than £4 delivered.

Great find of such good book, Andrew. Please don't mind me asking, are there any interesting B&W photos among the the pages?

Bought two more (new but old) pack of Top Trump cards from the wet market today. One is all about rally cars, and another about WWII bombers. I am happy these cards are in pretty good shape except some had turn yellowish due to age. Thought of sharing them here.

Judging by the number of cards, the pack is kinda "biased" towards German planes. There was only one plane representing Sweden.

Not actually started it yet. Had a quick look. There are quite a few pictures mostly black and white, and mostly of people the Allies were looking for. Not sure if any are rare or are unusual.

I've just used a set on my Spitfire Mick, first time ever, and must say,(bare in mind I'm no great plane modeller here mind), they're really easy to apply and give VERY good results :)
I was well impressed and have no qualms about using the set I bought for my Mosquito too ;)
Look forward to hearing your thoughts on them.

Been looking for this kit since last year........all of a sudden there were three to choose from on Evilbay.......one has been posted several times and the seller would not budge on his price....$179.00 USD. Another was listed at $184.00 and finally there was a listing for $115.00......this seller had not ticked the "make offer" box but I contacted him anyway and he agreed to sell it to me for $85.00.
This kit has been discontinued for about a year and last retailed for $74.00 so I was happy to get "the other side of the street" to go with the follow along kit (B924) that I picked up early in 2021....if you study the box art on the B923 kit you will see both kits combined to make a small walled village........the basis of my next Dio.....I hope.P1012302.JPGP1012304.JPG
