Excellent buy andrew , especially with the spit book thrown in . The Hampden was certainly called the flying suitcase during the war and like you say , it is VERY narrow . Always liked these too and if one came around at the right price I would defo go for it , for a long time Ive wanted to do one in Soviet colours - a fairly easy conversion just involving changing the upper gun to a shvak and altering the fairing slightly. In all seriousness, it's not a plane I know a lot about....I read somewhere it was referred to as 'the flying suitcase' because it was so narrow..... No idea if that's really a post-war nickname ....... And I thought it can't be that narrow......I put the fuselage halves together at lunchtime and was proved VERY wrong!!!
