Ain't gonna help Bro!!!......I'm in the same boat too.....

After all the help IanM gave me about camo colors for my Mossie, I needed to get some Ocean Gray for the camo job, but just ordering a bottle of paint wouldn't cut it as the postage would have been TWICE as much as the paint cost. Hmmmmmm....A real dilemma...what's a man to do......Throw something else in the shopping cart to make it worthwhile???...So,

I got the color needed (Thanks again Ian) and to make up the postage, this fell into the cart by accident too,

€5.00 cheaper than anyone else!!! So, my paint was for free and postage was only about €2.50......A quick look in the box,

Very nicely molded and looks the business.......Now it's time to shut down my paypal account I guess.............................

Lovely :thumb2: why is it when we spend 20 times more than we intended too so can get free or justify the few quid postage does it feel like we've had a result!

Postie had a few things for me....................
An ebay auction win <£17 delivered
Tamiya Lotus.jpg
Another ebay win <£14 delivered - the box doesn't look like this! battered & torn -no instructions, but all parts & decals intact............

I needed some paint, so whilst I was on the SMS website, I added this

eduard z-37a.jpg
I'd been looking at the KP version of this, but when I saw the Eduard Profipack at less than the KP, it went into the cart! As usual fast service from John..........

That Z-37 hardly looks like something that requires a snarling mouth does it Dave :tongue-out3:

That's a great idea.

Hmmm, not sure how that works?.... I'll definitely be interested in seeing what you do with it Mick :)

I watched a guy painstakingly airbrushing squiggles over primer coat, basically pre shading where there’s not a lot of panel lines to follow. When he then put on the top coat it gave a variation in shade across the area. In my head that makes some sense?

Ah,I see....got it now,thanks for that :)
Ya see, this plane business is all new to me ;)

So after waiting for over 2 years my back order from Artitec came in along with one of four Brekina trailers (three still on back order) and the end of the city block building that I posted on here on July 22nd.....so the little town will be complete when I get all the buildings constructed. Incidentally, the Hansa Lloyd 3 ton trucks were used extensively by the Wehrmacht and other branches as well to backfill their lack of transport. There is much photographic evidence to bear this out and I'm looking forward to bashing a few of these together. P1012333.JPGP1012334.JPG

Hi Paul, actually they were pretty reasonable @ $17.95 ea..........they are however the dreaded resin. In defense of that, they are some of the cleanest and flash free with no casting blocks that I have ever seen..........so that is at least, something to look forward to.

That one threw me a little … Stadthaus to a Dutch-speaker reads as stadhuis, meaning “town hall” — which this really doesn’t appear to be :) Of course, I then recalled that in German, a town hall is called Rathaus, literally “council house” but that has a very different meaning in British English again. Then I noticed that the box calls it stadshuis in Dutch, which changes the meaning completely to, basically, “house that’s in a city”. Aha, now it makes sense :)
