Scale Model Shop

Spots on the Internet (2022)

It does if you strive to be like Hasegawa ;)
The other option is the Eduard product model……a ridiculous number of livery options, ninety percent of which you’ll never use….so you pay a premium for unused decals……

Ah, but Tim - that's why Eduard sell overtrees, so you can utilise all those unused decal sheets!

Yes, but fifteen versions of the same aircraft on the shelf is pushing it a bit Dave ;)
Perhaps but there will be a happy obscure fanatic wanting to build his sixteenth same aircraft. We have our share of fans building Phantoms...there's one going onto his twenty something build...Turkish airforce I think. He had a short lull after the over stencilled Japanese bird...two in fact.

Cheers,
Richard

Said no person ever as they admire their collection of Spitfires/Me109/Fw190......
I think I am close to the mark with Spitfires lol

It kind of depends on the subject, I think. If you like building Shermans, Bf 109s, M113s, F-4s, etc. you can probably stick to a single subject for the rest of your life and not build exactly the same version twice. OTOH, if you’re into things like battleships or Formula 1 cars, I kind of doubt you can do the same. Sure, you can build, say, the USS New Jerseys in half a dozen upgrade phases, but that’s not quite the same as having a hundred M113s that are all of obviously different types.

Or making fifteen versions of the same kit and just putting different stickers on them…..which is the Eduard way if you use overtrees.

I'm afraid I cut out buying the Eduard Profipack Lysander, instead, bought 2 sets of overtrees, AM decals & 2 PE sets made for the Gavia model ( the original ) - for just less than the cost of the Profipack. ( that only works if you buy a few sets of overtrees, I bought 4 sets - which helps keep the p&p per model reasonable )

Yeah, doesn’t everybody love the AJ-1 Savage?

Does it say if the NF-5 includes parts for the NF-5A single-seater, or is it just the -5B two-seater shown on the box top? Always been one of my favourite planes, partly because it’s just a very good-looking aircraft, but not in the least because the very first model kit I ever had was the Matchbox F-5A.

Jakko,
don't think so - "NF-5B/F-5B/SF-5B Freedom Fighter - Europe, with markings for Dutch, Norwegian and Spanish AF"
Dave

Odd choice, then … I would think most people are more interested in the actual fighter than the conversion trainer.
