And Acoms RC gear, up until the mid 90's (IIRC)I take it Riko is long gone? I recognise the name as the UK Tamiya importer, but I don’t know much more than that :smiling3:
No, a small model shop in Redhill. I actually bought very little in Beatties but was in the Romford one a fair bit for a nosey.I recall that name too. Riko started the import of Tamiya to the UK I think...
Did you buy it in a Beaties store by any chance Karl.
I haven't studied in detail yet but looking at a YouTube clip of the landing scene they have the longer canopy.Just wondering, but does the kit you have include the shorter canopy, or only the long one?
Some of the other gladiators were in 4 parts as well!!, Great movie one of my favourites..Oi! I was going to use that quote during the paint (can’t call it a build, he’s only made from four parts). Never mind, there are plenty of others…..
Ah, I didn’t remember that bit, I do recall seeing short-canopied ones, which is what’s in my 1:72 scale kit. Handy that either will doI haven't studied in detail yet but looking at a YouTube clip of the landing scene they have the longer canopy.
Complete with swooshing "Cylon eye"?Very late to the table on this one guys. Is there still a chair spare? I'm looking at this Kitt kit: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jada-JA997...ocphy=1006826&hvtargid=pla-600688705115&psc=1
Oops. My bad. I'll be buying a model kit to build.Complete with swooshing "Cylon eye"?
(But that's a diecast car, will you be repainting it or something?)
Of courseVery late to the table on this one guys. Is there still a chair spare?
Well in that case I'm in. no idea what yet but i’ll come up with something before thenOf course :smiling3: Like I said before, as long as you join before the end of May you can take part.
Aargh! I was going to do the full 75mm figure of Maximus from Alexandros, but I think there's only enough room for one Spaniard in this GB - I'll think again.Slight change of angle from me. My carpet monster seems to have eaten my Young miniatures bust of Lucky Jack Aubrey. I know I’ve got him, but I don’t know where he is…..
I’ll therefore go for the back up option…..
He is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the armies of the north, general of the felix legions and loyal servant to the true emperor Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son and husband to a murdered wife. And he will be painted, in this life or the next…..
Don’t sweat it. It will be fun to see you outpaint me…….go for it :thumb2:Aargh! I was going to do the full 75mm figure of Maximus from Alexandros, but I think there's only enough room for one Spaniard in this GB - I'll think again.
There can be only one! Oh wait. Wrong film!Aargh! I was going to do the full 75mm figure of Maximus from Alexandros, but I think there's only enough room for one Spaniard in this GB - I'll think again.
