I'm pleased to say that I've painted Fanny's face, and it's come out rather better than I had dared hope

I've started on the dreaded white bits (not THOSE white bits :rolling: ) as well, and I'm happy with them too. Now you can see that the primer is actually grey (Vallejo) and not white.
I'm using Peter Day's approach of working from the top down to avoid leaving finger marks or rubbing the paint off.
I must say I had thought about removing the head to make it easier to paint but I decided to just crack on. I kind of wish I had done it now because I found painting the definition between neck and collar very tricky- it would not have been a problem if they were separate.
