Andy`s 1/48 Beaufighter

I go away for a bit and you’re building wingy things, whatever next :smiling5: ;)

Cracking job with the paint scheme and I’m liking your chaps……Looking very nice Mr Smiff :thumb2:
Si, poor Andy has slipped, we've given up on him ever returning fully . Think he must have had a knock to the head, most likely Rach !

Hello Si,long time no see mate!! Yep, hadn't built a Plane for about 45 years, and this is my 5th one in the last 9 months or so!! ;) Thanks for the compliment :)
Looking good :thumb2:
Cheers Steve.... Time for it to go horribly wrong yet mind!! :)
Good stuff. Crew look good, if a little portly…..
Thanks Tim, :) Must admit I thought that too, test fitted them into the seats and they do fit ok.... mind you, that was before joining up the fuselage halves!

Nice mate , nothing wrong with those figures , they look good.
Cheers John, yes, people do come in all shapes and sizes after all. ;)
I know that feeling well...... ;)
HA, you and me both Alan!! :)

ALL, well... Nervous tension time...
All my loving and careful painting has been completely obliterated by a liberal coating of Flory wash....
Will reveal the outcome,(for better or worse!!), and with the final parts added this evening ! ;)

Mr Smiff the figure painter...! Great job this is looking like you now know what you are doing.

Thank you John......
...You know what they say though..
.... "Looks can be deceptive"!! :smiling3:

That's quite a "compliment" coming from Mr. Wotan.....must say I'm in agreement with him. In this scale they are much better than optimal IMHO. :thumb2:

Smiffy,
Very nicely done mate. Figures look good.
Thanks also Scottie :)
I must admit though, I'm benefitting from the use of the wet pallet ..
which I had for years, but only recently started to use !!?? ;)
.... It's certainly a game changer :)

Minging there,as you already know!... .. nervous,tension,headache...
... ere tis after getting rid of that stuff...and then some other bits chucked on..

It came out ok for a first attempt, and gotta say,my trepidation wasn't warranted.. it's great stuff :)
... It didn't take EVERYWHERE that I'd have liked, but that's probably down to me, not the wash!...
As you can see there, the dummy top bubble has now gone, and the cockpit glass has also been taken away, all in preparation for the final act, with the Aircrew. ;)
Thanks for looking in,much appreciated...
More tomorrow, and then it'll probably be finished. :)
Cheers,
Andy

Very nicely done Andy. It really is so easy to use isn't it.... You can always do a second coat if you want!

That looks very nice Andy. You've made the wash work for you. I'm impressed with those figures.

Anyway, this will be picture heavy!
