Evening All,

I'm so glad you enjoyed the pics from the show! It was the first time I used my new Ping-Pong paddle sized cell phone to take pictures. You can see I still have to learn to keep my thumb tucked away though,,,

Thanks Allen. Some very interesting stuff.
You are most welcome Jim. I had only wished there were more model companies there...

Thank you Allen, it was a very nice road trip with you guys! See ya :-)
It was a good time Ötzi and thanks for bringing the ruck sack to carry the catalogs. We do have to have a talk about it being 2 meters deep though. I think there is something living in the bottom of it. See you on the 18th...

WOW, thanks so much for taking the time to post that lot.
I am of course very jealous.
You are welcome anytime Noah Garry. I think I should be jealous, as Wingnut Wings was on your side of the world though. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos...

Thanks Allan some great stuff there, love the wooden sailing ships.
You're welcome too Mark. I saw the rescue boat and immediately thought of you. I figured you had the paint already and it was only one color, so why not. The wooden ships were beautiful, but not cheap...

Nice photos Dude 1, seems you three had a good time . Lucky you with those samples from Albion.
I wasn't expecting to get them for free, but was real happy about it. We three always seem to have a good time. Sort of like the 3 stooges at a show...

Great pics Allen, thanks a lot for posting.

Andy.
Anytime Andy! When I go to a show, I usually enjoy taking pics as it's an inspiration to all on the forum and myself too...

Thanks for sharing, good pics.
Your most welcome too Paul. I was surprised how good they turned out in the end too...

Thanks for sharing. Looks like it was very downsized this year.
That's very true Ian. I really thought there would be more companies in the modeling field there. There was plenty of room still in the hall for more exhibitors. About a half of the hall was for model RR firms. Last time I went, there were 2 halls for it all...

Morning Mr D,
Like the chaps say, I Really appreciate your effort in posting that lot, shame a few didn’t read your header and posted…..naughty step for them I guess :smiling5::smiling5:
Not a big deal Mr. Benson and I'm always happy to post up the pics. I'll let them off the step this time Si. You know how kids are today!!!

Thanks Allen, Albion Alloys is a five minute drive from me I know Mathew John ,fantastic modeler and a master with a airbrush ,they also import and distribute a lot of modeling products, if it wasn't Mathew you spoke to ill pull his leg about his chaps handing out freebies, also he'll be pleased to hear you larged them up on the site here. Dave
Ah Dave, let it go...I really am not good with names and there were 3 men and a lady at the stand. One was probably Mathew and I talked to him. He has grown a beard since I saw him last July. When I asked if they took the ferry or the chunnel to get here, the one said, no, he flew. He was a boss from Albion in Canada. I then asked him how the long swim over the Atlantic was......They all just busted out laughing. That's when the other guy gave me the tubing and said enjoy it...

Thank you for all your work on this Allen. Looks to have been a good day out.
John.
You're most welcome too John. The show is only about 60kms from Bamberg and a cold one in at 3pm was needed to quench the thirst from all the walking about...

Very much appreciated from me as well. Thanks Allen.

I'm trying to blot that Belkits RS200 from my mind.....

Nick
Oh, come on Nick. You know you want one!!! I just wonder what the box art will be when it's finalized(?) There was no other info about it though...

Thank you Allen for posting. Now I've to close my desktop as the keyboard needs a thorough wiping and drying session due to too much drooling...:smiling6:

Andrea
You're killing my Andrea, LMAO!!! I can only suggest looking at the pics on a tablet next time. It's much easier to wipe the drool off than a keyboard Sir...

Very nice Allen. Like the Orient Express Wagon Lit especially. What was the scale?
The Orient Express wagon is 1/32 scale Tim. It's a multi-media kit and sells for a low price of € 815.57, with free delivery from Italy. Start saving your duckies my friend. Check out their website if you get a chance. Some beautiful stuff to buy, if you sell a kidney...

Thank you all for your comments and interest good people. On 18 February, we (the 3 stooges) are going to a model kit flea market in Ergolding, here in Bayern. Should be fun, but I'm leaving my wallet at home!!! I'll take the ping-pong paddle phone with though, just in case there's a photo opportunity there...

Wow, that’s a gauge one kit. In model railway terms that’s huge. Unfortunately a bit rich for my blood though :sleeping2:

Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures. There is certainly some interesting stuff coming up. I hope you had a good time there and who's a lucky boy with the freebie.

Italeri doing a Stuka 'Pichiatello'? But it's 1/48th! Why can't they do a, accurate, Cant Z.1007 in 1/72!? Too much work to re-jig the old Supermodel moulds like the Z.506, which reappered there
And Tamiya's Marder on the Lorraine chassis has me wondering who does the original vehicle in 1/35th
If at all...

But I don't do 1/35th now either! But, maybe that means MORE1940 French stuff from Tamiya?

Nothing in 1-87 scale.....Phooey! ;) Erm, Nice pics. Allen, Glad you got free stuff, nothing like good will to ensure future customer loyalty!

When I asked him how much the tube set was, he said......Stick it in your pocket. I can't take your money here.

It's not that he didn't want to sell it to you, it's because he can't, it's a trade only show and they aren't allowed to sell anything, if they do it can have serious consequences for them.

It would have probably been Matthew, he does know what he's talking about, a very nice bloke, Albion Alloys are a good company to deal with.

Thanks for posting the pics allen , some lovely looking stuff there. Nice one getting a freebie with the albion alloys stuff , what did you get in the red bag that thorstens carrying ?

Morning from a -11°C Bamberg and sorry for the late replies,

But think of all the fun you would have building it, Tim. C'mon, it's only one kidney...

You welcome Paul, anytime. There are a few really interesting things coming out this year. I am feeling lucky to have the tubing to make the turnbuckle pieces for the Halberstadt and it was a great time seeing it all...

Sorry I can't answer your question there Steve, as Italeri only had little cards with the name of the kit on them. They didn't even have a model of their new 1/32 MC.202 Folgore on display. Just a huge poster of the artwork as background in their showcase. The original Marder I was released in the 90's as a resin kit from Airmodel (Schmidt Modellbau) and Alby. The first full plastic kit was from RPM (Poland) and came out in 2006. It had terrible details and needed much love to build it. Panda models was next and then Tamiya in 2020. There were others released in between and most were multi-media kits from Ironsides, Criel and Azimut. No news about any other early French 40's stuff from Tamiya either...

Sorry Rick, but 1/2 the hall was model RR. I'm sure there was tons of 1/87 stuff on display with the layouts and showcases. Prob was, it was all modern and I didn't see Roco or any other makers of military models. I also didn't see if Preiser was there or not. Don't hate me...

I know they can't, John and they are a great bunch of folks at Albion. I'm just terrible at remembering names. I'll see them again in October at the SMC in Veldhoven...

Your very welcome too, Tony. The bags were hanging on a rack at the entrance to the hall. They were empty and good to carry catalogs and brochures you got from the stands. What was cool about them, besides being free, was this,

They were insulated on the inside and are great for keeping your beer cold too!!! With the cords, you could close it and wear it like a little rucksack, on your back or over your shoulder...

Hi Steve,

I went back and looked in the little brochure from Italeri and took a few pics for you. It's the 2023 releases in 1/72 wing thingy's and one re-release of their Harrier. The SD in the pics denotes Super Decal sheets. HTHs a bit...

Wait. Did you just say Italeri are doing a 1/32 Macchi C.202?
Do Italeri even DO 1/32 'planes? Wonder if it's the old Pacific Coast model, which l eBayed away a while back
Well, I finally got to that 'I'm never going to build it' resolution

Yup Steve, Italeri do make 1/32 aircraft and helicopters. The Macchi MC & C 202's are future releases and are brand new molds. Can't be the old Pacific Coast kits for sure. Check out all of their 1/32 kits here...
