Brian's actual 1/200 Yamato build

Making excellent progress Brian. As so many have said your PE work is very neat and precise.

Hi Brian. Just had a catch-up. I have to say you are a look better at building boats than you are are painting skirtings. Or that was maybe the Dulux dog's efforts. lol.

Yamato is coming along very nice. I'm itching to get into mine but I need a cabinet to have it in. Thinking of building a three or four shelf one. so there is room for them all (so far) in one place.

That Living room looks very nice indeed. Hmm. The dog looks like an Old English to me but what do I know lol Looking at pictures of them both, I can now see the difference.

The more I see those anti aircraft guns the more I feel for those pilots who had to dive towards them... scaring is an understatement.
A fascinating build, Brian. :thumb2:

Crew protection seemed to be a priority as few gun crews seem to be exposed.

Considering the amount of sub-assembelies, and the scale of the overall model, I am disgusted by the state of your bench! How on earth do you ever find tools if they are away where they belong?

In all seriousness, this is such a stunning build!

Looking good Brian, i nearly bought all metal barrels for my yamoto until i realised how many there actually was and how much it was gonna cost!

I got all the barrels with the wooden deck kit but not using them as the kit barrels have more detail I'll root them out and compare for you tbh the wooden deck and black anchor chain is worth the $100

Looking at them I'll prob use the bigger barrels but the very small ones I don't see the point :)
