Many years ago ( 80's ) I was in Rabaul, Papua New Guinea - whilst taking a taxi to a popular watering hole, the driver told us that the year before, whilst they had been widening the road, they'd found the wreckage of a Zero that had been there since 1945 - only 5 yards off a busy road ( the rainforest is pretty dense there ). an idea for a dio? Rabaul was one of the places that the Americans bypassed, left to 'wither on the vine'.
