I actually read that as Village vault........actually conjured up a nice image of a communal stash, or one of those take a book, leave a book cabinets you see in some public spaces.

Down this way,in a lot of villages,they convert the old red phone boxes into exactly that.
I'm easily distracted....plus a large of part of the course and studies are, unsurprisingly these days online, so I'm already sat at my laptop.......
