Coming on great Andy. Are those metal forks the standard kit parts or have you splashed out on them in addition?

The metal forks are part of the kit along with lots of screws, bolts and spacers for various parts of the assembly.

Tonight I have mainly been.........................................

Masking and painting spokes, each wheel has 36 of them so a few to go yet.

Andy.

Slow and steady Andy but all looking very good. Those spokes do look delicate but will look the part when the wheels are complete.

Finally got the front wheel assembled, a lot of work but I think it looks pretty good.

Now I just need to do the same again for the rear.

That looks great - the spokes appear to be pretty much in scale....

That looks excellent Andy. Who would think that an Plastic OOB wheel could look so good.

Thanks very much for the positive comments guys. John, as to how long it took I have no idea but it took me a while as hand painting the spokes was quite a tedious task. The wheel is not done yet as there are the discs and ABS ring still to paint and fit and that involves about another dozen parts!

Not been doing much modelling of late been spending time out on the bike and today I felt like s**** after getting 2 jags yesterday. One was a covid booster and the other was for pneumonia so I blame them although I have had quite few since this all started and never been up or down.
Anyway, I got the rear wheel finished.

I may have to touch up a few spokes but other than that I am happy with it.
