After a long quiet period, my osteo-arthritis has flared up again. My hand was a little stiff yesterday, but today I have difficulty in moving it at all & the joints are swollen & tender & ache. I can't think what triggers it, unless it's a change in temperature, as I haven't done anything unusual ( story of the last year! ). I'm going to have to relearn to use my left hand ( you try using a mouse with your weak hand! )................. it means that no benchtime, and even the 3D printer is not easy to use, I just hope that this attack doesn't last too long:worried:

Bad news mate. Hope it improves soon. Is it caused by a change in air pressure, rather than a change in temperature? There is quite a lot on the net about that.

Just an update....................... This flare up has been the worst I've had, It's gotten better, then worse - I've had days when I really thought it was dying away, only for it to return. However the past week has seen a vast improvement.................. This has been such a lengthly period, that I'm almost afraid to use my right hand, for fear of causing a relapse. I have a stress ball that I use for short periods every day.. My GP reckons that as I get older I may have longer periods of this - happy thought!

Feel for you. The problem is it doesn't heal but will be recurring. As mentioned lets hope the next outburst is short.
