Can I take this opportunity to wish you all the very best for the season and new year of course.

Hardly posted but still breathing! Japanese navy stash now full, honest!

Not been the best of years and worse to come, but could be worse!

Mum's been in hospital for 7 months and finally goes into local care home next week for her remaining time.

Just remember that old Chinese saying ' always wear elastic trousers on Christmas day '

All the best bob an julie

Likewise my good man!

Hope the coming year is an improvement over this one in some way, even allowing for what you're facing!

Regards to Julie, yourself and the rest of the family Bob.

Thanks for the conversations behind the scenes throughout the year. May it continue the next :)

All the very best to you and yours Bob. I know you're facing further difficulties but I hope the new year brings you better times.

Keep those Emails coming Bob, and don't eat all the mince pies. Love to Julies.

Merry Christmas Bob and your family. Let's hope 24 is a bit kinder to you than 23.

All the very best to you and yours Bob, here's to a fantastic 2024.

Many thanks all. Very kind comments and much needed support

I know what's coming sometime next yr and without sounding horrible.

The sooner the better, painful to see mum getting worse. But at least the home will give her 24hr care, I could not do that

I'm sure you've done all you can for her Bob, time to let the professionals care for her.
Pete

You have my full sympathy Bob. Having just gone through it I know waiting for the inevitable is truly horrendous. Yours, however, must be immeasurably worse because of the extended timescale involved. I hope you have the best Xmas you can under the circumstances and that Santa is kind to you.

Thanks Tim, what has shocked me is how quick the dementia has started. Some days it's hard to have a chat others not so bad.

The hospital has been very good but one nurse, Caz stands out. She's fantastic, kind with wonderful humanity. She had mum and the others making decorations, the same ones I made in primary school. Did mum's nails even reads magazines to mum and the other ladies. A truly wonderful person. I gave her a card with money inside, I am going to write to the chief executive to praise her. A outstanding lady
