Hi all

Realised about an hour ago, that I also missed this off the list of new arrivals!

Hooray! It's here:

my 1/16 Universal Carrier. Great news, really looking forward to having a look inside.

there is a slight problem - it is a birthday present from my wife and she is away this weekend attending a craft/sewing exhibition and return on Sunday. i cannot really open it until she returns! AAGGHH!!!!

Peter
Course you can open it, just blame the useles stickt tape and you had to check that all the parts were there....

latest addition. What did we do.....?

John
Ah! yes, let yourself in for the two year puppy fun.... And a new language.... Been through it almost, only another three months and then the adult brain should start to click in....

Paul

She's called Abby
I can imagine a few more names - unprintable here.... Especially in the early morning when you put your foot in it....
Just showed SWMBO the pic and got the typical response - Aaaawwwwww! Oooohhhhh! Aaaaahhhhh!

30 years service award from work.
All I had to do was give them a receipt and they gave me the cash back :smiling4:

Well done Si.

And I bet, if you have any fingers left, you'll be crossing them. Please - please grow up!!!
Nah!!! The greetings are worth it. Where would the fun be if you weren't attacked first thing by a fluffy tail wagging demon!!!!

Try getting the morning welcome when there is 18 kilo's and full on enthusiasm behind it - all lips, tongue. floppy ears and grunts....

Ok chaps, so a run through of arrivals over the last three weeks or so.

They are a combination of museum and discount bookstore visits, second-hand eBay auctions wins, Lidl sales, discount vouchers from a national chain of hobby stores and very good prices for new kits.

In terms of the kits, I reckon that compared to the 'usual' prices they go for, I got these ranging from 20-50% cheaper than 'normal' and in a couple of cases they were the cheapest 'recent purchases' on eBay. Unfortunately, Royal mail did not treat a couple of them well despite good packing but fortunately none of the kits appear to be damaged.

Hope you like the look of them!

----------------------------------------

Got this from RAF Hendon...seeing as entrance is free, I thought I would support them by buying it (I damaged it)

Bought this whist on holiday from a store in the Lake District, as I want to learn more about the war in the Pacific

And now for the kits, in no particular order...and no, I did not pay the label price where you can see them!!

One can never have too many Typhoons!! I think I'm up to seven, with a special one still on advance order with Airfix.

A Lidl purchase......they need to change their range, as I now have all the ones they do, aside from the Cutty Sark! :smiling5:

This a very big box, even by 'combo' standards!!

These go for up to £30 on eBay, although low-mid £20s is the norm. This though only cost me £15 delivered.

This one was very cheap brand new and only cost £27 delivered.

This is probably my favourite and whilst not cheap, comes with a 100+ page book on Spitfires in the RAAF, which would probably cost £15-20 if published on its own. There are also so many decal options (21 to be exact), that it might actually be worth me getting three of four more Overtrees kits from Eduard to make the most of them

Are you about to open a shop Andrew ?

John, my youngest daughter has 3 , beautiful dogs, and so friendly.

I’ve been after one of these for a while for a project I have in mind. They’re difficult to find for sensible prices in the UK so finally bit the bullet when I saw this.
They are one of my favorites. I appox. have over 50 different ones.

You have got to model the Trabant in the very faded blue colour patches, with the windows all steamed up and just a little round circle of mist cleared on the inside so the driver can just about see through, and four great hulking East Germans with a map of Europe ripped from a school atlas asking me for directions to where they want to go and marvelling at my road atlas of Germany, while one of them is filling up the petrol tank from a WW2 jerry can.
