Need some inspiration, thinking maybe something Vietnam related? I have a suitable vehicle, and some suitable figures, and maybe a jungle type diorama, not done a jungle before!
U.S.Icons Group Build - Do’s and Don’ts

I'm off on my jollies for a few days next week, so prolly will not get my US GB started until the second week in June, so it will also give me some more time to consider and decide what I'm actually building. Deffo leaning toward a Vietnam themed build, as I now have a choice of several vehicles, several figures, and even a boat..... 
Well, I have committed to this one although my track record on Group Builds this year has been woeful when it comes to getting them finished within the timeframe. I had a look to see what was 'in stock' and could only come up with a couple that are both 'American' and 'Iconic'. Therefore, it comes down to these two:
Firstly, this Airfix 1/72 F-14A that I've had kicking around pretty much since it was a new tool in 1975. I built one and never got around to this one. Looks like its all there despite the rather battered box, apart that is from the phoenix missiles for some reason that only teenage me is likely to be able to answer. I'll be needing some replacement decals too.....
Then there's this monster!
I think I must have had a rush of blood to the head as my old granny used to say. Not too sure what possessed me to buy it or where I'll put it once its done either although I do have quite a funny story around one of these planes.
I'm hoping to get my entry in the Spitfire GB finished first and I'm off on my summer road trip towards the end of June so lets see how I feel on my return.

Well I know for sure that the Eduard Mig-21 PF has a North Vietnam marking scheme could work if added later? I know because that’s the scheme I have a very stalled build in.

This GB looks amazing. The variety of builds on offer is unreal. That sort of tells us, the USA is a big place and they build lots of things ! Enjoy yourselves everyone.
