Scale Model Shop

GB idea

Thread owner
Just been reading up on tamiya

There's another good reason for this GB

2026 marks the 80th year since the company was founded..... Originally as a timber supply company with a sideline in wooden models of ships and planes..... Wasn't til the 60s that they got into plastic

So that's potentially 12 of us so far
Once Ian sets up the sub forum I will do a proper set of rules but it will be the usual ones
Run November, December, January so that will give us something to do over christmas

Looks good......Hmm, Nov, Dec and Jan, so I'll maybe get at least three done then....! Plus I can add a Tamiya kit to my Xmas wishlist and see what turns up.... ;):cool:

Hmm, maybe not the Mosquito, but something else 'out-of-the-ordinary'
A dealer at the show I went to last weekend had all the current Tamiya dinosaurs in 1/35th. I resisted the temptation
I mean, where would you put the Brachiosaurus?

Like the old joke about elephants, paint its toenails red and hide it in a cherry tree. (Because nobody has ever seen an elephant in a cherry tree, proving the camouflage works.

I didn't say it was a funny joke.
