    Which airbrush would you buy?

Bit further than my 482 metres according to Google maps, 2 min by car and 7 min walk. Crazy world we live in means close proximity to a Waitrose can add up to 10% on a house price

    Which airbrush would you buy?

You might not if Waitrose was a five minute walk as opposed to a 7 mile drive each way to the nearest Lidl. Do go there sometimes though, their Bratwurst are excellent and Gammon joints are nice too.

    Which airbrush would you buy?

Beware of the wire cleaning brushes that look like a miniature chimney sweep brush. Much better to use something like this https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/tepe-easypick-m-l/792885-658635-658636

    Which airbrush would you buy?

I have had a couple of Badger airbrushes, last one was a Patriot 105 with a 0.5 needle. Worked well enough, but spares in the UK have become an issue since Barnwell closed down when the owner retired.

    Which airbrush would you buy?

Also worth mentioning that some types of paint (solvent based and lacquers) are flammable and the correct brushless type of fan should be used.

    Which airbrush would you buy?

If you are using water based acrylics like Vallejo their airbrush cleaner works well. Try to use the thinner, flow improver and retarder of the same brand as your paint. Sometimes I shoot IPA through my airbrushes to give them a good clean out.

    Which airbrush would you buy?

Iwata HP-CS Eclipse or Mr Hobby/Procon Boy PS-289 would be my choices. Compressor would be a Sparmax TC-610H, compact and good quality.

    GRASS AND TAMIYA PAINTS

Been using Syringes with a large bore needle for ages to extract/measure paint from jars Pack of the 5ml size and a selection of needles cost very little from Amazon or Ebay. They can also be used for glue application such as for canopies and windows

AK Real Colours Acrylic markers - any good?

Had mine for about six or seven months and none have dried out that I know of. Find them very useful for small parts, nice tip for detail and the wider part of the nib for larger areas. Used the Rubber Black and Dark Aluminium a lot and they are still working. I bought fourteen, looked at the...

    Too bloody hot!!!

I have been getting up at five, cool shower then getting a few bits done whilst its still a pleasant temperature. All the windows open to air the house before shutting up shop when the sun comes out. Afternoon is siesta time, Shark fan on full and hopefully a couple of hours kip. Then about five...

    what are you watching ?

Never understood why people make a point of saying how they don't watch football? Shed loads of things I don't watch, but don't feel the need to mention them.

    Chrome Covering Removal

I used Domestos because that's what I had in the sink unit. I'm sticking with Oven Brite liquid, great for this task, but totally useless on my oven, far too runny. Tried a few different brands, gel type were better, it was hot hard smelly work. In the end I gave it up as a bad job and bought a...

    Chrome Covering Removal

My next build comes with chromed parts that need to be painted white. From my research I found that these could not be overpainted even with primer. Looking online it seemed Bleach was the most popular removal method, oven cleaner was also mentioned. I tried both on chromed sprue from the new...
