Scale indicator, which way is correct? eg: / or :
When you (and others) are stating what scale the model is, some have it like this... 1/35 and some have it like this... 1:35 So which is the "correct" way, and if so why? ....or does it really not matter. As I don't know which one is the "correct" one, I tend to flip / flop and switch...- pjgtech

Westland Lynx - Matchbox - 1:72 scale
As I said above, I'm painting parts on the sprue.... I have run out of black primer, so am using a green one (Ammo/Mig one shot).... Here are the sprues primed up, first coat... And then after a few hours we started the main top coat, in several thin coats, this is only the first coat so far...- pjgtech

I usually build stuff up then prime the various main and sub assemblies, but decided to paint the parts on the sprue for this one, not sure why really, but hey why not? There's not a lot of flash etc on the parts, so clean up should be minimal, and as I paint by brush, I tend to have to do...- pjgtech

Started this one up, nice little heli.... Don't think I've ever made one before, even as a kid? This is an older kit, Scalemates seems to indicate its from 1983. I think I got it as part of an auction lot win, where there were several models in the lot, can't remember TBH! The box has two...- pjgtech

Little update, I was not happy with the final photos I posted previously, as I used an older camera which is now not great quality TBH. So took a few more photos which hopefully are a bit better quality to show up some of the little details in this Dio, which was lacking a bit from the other...- pjgtech

Pledge, still used for canopies?
So unless you have some of the "old" stuff its a no then? I have looked a few modern equivalents, floor polishes, etc but all seem to be very mild, with no chemicals, all natural, one even said Gluton free, who's drinking floor polish FFS! :rolleyes:- pjgtech

Pledge, still used for canopies?
Do peeps (in the UK) still use Pledge for canopies? and if so which one, eg: wood floor cleaner, or general polish, etc. Or is it no longer used due to changed ingredients over the years? If its no longer used what do peeps now use to get that crystal clear canopy look? Cheers- pjgtech

Hi and welcome mate.... SMS Paint brush section... It really depends what sort of use they will be put too, eg: acrylics, oil paint, large for coverage, small for detail, etc. Most model shops have a large selection. (See link above to our very own Scale Model Shop). But also don't forget art...- pjgtech

Preventing rust in compressor tank
One of my other hobbies is airgun shooting, and as well as Springers I have PCP's (Pre Charged Pneumatic) guns which use high pressure air, eg: anything from 160 bar to 300 bar, and I use a compressor (user rated for 300bar, safety tested to 450 bar!). One of the things airgun users worry about... -

Just did a quick google, Revell do a kit of the smart car, there's a couple on Fleabay, £63 and £100 so not cheap!!! Go on....you know you want to....., Lol ;) -

This one is now completed, really enjoyed this build, tried something new, not done a trench scenario before or wet mud. Really liked the Ammo/Mig Weathering Wet Clear paste, which really did look like wet mud / puddles. Did a short build progress YouTube Video, see linky... YT video of the...- pjgtech
