Do peeps (in the UK) still use Pledge for canopies? and if so which one, eg: wood floor cleaner, or general polish, etc.
Or is it no longer used due to changed ingredients over the years?
If its no longer used what do peeps now use to get that crystal clear canopy look?
Cheers

Personally I’ve never got on with pledge. I use Tamiya polishing compounds to give them a glass like shine. I do the same on car windscreens on the rare occasion I build them. I do use pledge on my little gaming blokes as a first varnish though. It’s extremely hard wearing and protects the paint coat against handling. They get a matt varnish over it for appearances.

The big thing it had going for it was that it was hard wearing. I believe Johnson’s discontinued it, and all the variants, some of which were identical to the so called “original” formula, a few years ago anyway. Comes down to it, how shiny are Perspex canopies anyway when seen “in the round”?

So unless you have some of the "old" stuff its a no then?
I have looked a few modern equivalents, floor polishes, etc but all seem to be very mild, with no chemicals, all natural, one even said Gluton free, who's drinking floor polish FFS!

Just go and buy some humbrol clear at hobbycraft...... I bought a bottle 2 years ago and i dont think ive even used a fifth!

Alledgedly its the same as the old 'future'.... And i think Mig are doing some now too

I sometimes use a 20-year old bottle of Klear and/or Holloway House Quick Shine which I have had for about ten years:

I also use various gloss varnishes.
