Heres the finished figure of Maureen Dunlop , an Air Transport Auxiliary pilot . The figure is based on a photograph taken of Maureen after she had just delivered a Fairey Barracuda in 1944 , the pic making the front cover of Picture Post magazine. My first attempt at a large scale figure and my first go at using a wet palette . Comments welcome , cheers tonyIMG_7165.webpIMG_7166.webpIMG_7167.webpIMG_7168.webpIMG_7169.webpIMG_7170.webpIMG_7171.webpIMG_7172.webpIMG_6776.webp

WOW!
take a bow Mr Tony, sir!
That is one to be very pleased with for your first go at a large scale figure.
You've done a really great job on the face, and female faces are notoriously difficult to do, so props for that!
I hope it's given you confidence to do more?

thanks neil , its given my figure painting mojo a boost , so much that I’m goingvto start the Tamiya SAS jeep soon . I might get some replacement figures off Temu though as the Tamiya ones are very poorly sculpted ( strange as I thought with this being an old boxing the moulds would have been in perfect shape as it was newly released ? )
Great result Tony (y) :coffee:
Thanks steven glad you like it
