Hi all. Apologies for the absence, but I have kept my hand in a little :)

So, here's the latest finished build, the lovely Airfix Seafire, taxing out to start a long range recce mission.

Apart from the exhaust stacks, its OOB, painted with Tamiya paints. I'm hoping to do a small base for it at some point, but I'm calling it done for now.

Hope you enjoy, cheers, Neil

Magnificent paintwork ;)

That really is an excellent build Neil! You've done the contra-rotating props brilliantly :) the base you're planning will be the final piece to add to the sense of action

Cheers

Very nicely done Neil. This is one of Airfix's best kits I think.

Great job. It's a lovely kit isn't it.

Very nice I might get one of these what's the fit like

The way you have posed this with the engine running and wings moving to the spread position is a bit more interesting to the eye.

Thanks for the kind comments. It was a pretty straight forward build. I had a bit of filling to do on the upper wing roots and on the windscreen, but nothing out of the ordinary. If you get an older 2nd hand kit, I'd budget for some new decals, but the new ones are lovely.

Cheers, Neil

You've made a great job of that Neil.Im sorry the decals weren't up to scratch.

Awesome work Neil I really like how you've posed this one and it's great to see you back posting again

Nice clean build

I have this one in my stash and you e really done it justice. Never enough spitfires in the world even when they are the offspring from the spitfire.

Lovely build and very clean. I also like the contra rotating props you've done, so realistic looking.Realynloke the weathering too and full action with the wing fold........ A true great build

Well done

Thanks people, I'm feeling the love ( in a butch, manly way, of course... ;) ). The props aren't perfect, but I've learnt from doing them, so the next ones should be spot on - fingers crossed!!!

Dave, the decals on this were fine, but I tried using some from an older boxing in the stash, and they're nowhere as good as the later ones, hence the warning.

I'll try not to leave it so long next time....

Cheers, Neil

A beautiful example of a beautiful aircraft.

It a great kit to build as well isn't it.

Really nice, Neil. A lovely clean build and I love what you've done with the propellers and folded wings

It's a real plane, I mean, is the epitome of superb design, the aircraft now, are looking less and less of that, Greetings ;)
