It could have been the b****y awful fit of the engine cowl and rad. air scoop (if that is what it is)....Ron
The oil cooler, not that it really matters.

Thanks Steve, so are the rads the two 'protrusions' under each wing? Basic questions I know, but.....

Cheers,

Ron

That's a great 109 Ron, and those outdoor pictures work really well. I've gotta agree with Ole though, coz bigger pics would be nice!

I know what you mean about losing the buzz sometimes, I'm at that point with one of mine!

Cheers

Thats a great 109 Ron and some nice pictures even though they appear small on my computer

Sorry boys, I don't know what's happened to the pictures, they are small!

My camera is set as usual when I take pickies for showing on here......Trouble is I don't know how it has happened, so I don't know how to alter them.....

Is it even possible to enlarge them once posted? If so, can any mods. do it on my behalf?

Cheers,

Ron

Yes they are. They were of a very complicated aerodynamic design with most of the radiator core being within the wing. Messerschmitt were very proud of them and were somewhat miffed when they got their hands on a Spitfire, only to find that its cooling system produced less drag (it actually produced thrust to counteract any drag) and was more efficient.

Ya-Boo-Sucks to the german engineers :)

Fantastic job ron matey, the camo is superbly done. I dont think the mods can do anything about the picture size , although maybe im wrong ! great pics nevertheless , see you soon bud , cheers tony

That's much better! Great work Ron, especially so with it being painted hairy stick style!

A very interesting camo scheme expertly done.

Cheers

Looking very nice Ron. You always take great photo's as well.

Something caught my eye in Steve's picture of the engine. It appears to be upside down. The camshaft, exhaust ports and spark plugs are all at the bottom of the engine. The German Engineers must of had a really good reason for this ! Stona, what are they upto ?

Well now that I can see the photos I would like to say that that is a very nice little 109 you have made there.

Nice one Ron.

Thanks for the great posts boys, much appreciated...

I'm relieved the photo issue was something John was able to fix his end, otherwise I would have been up a gum tree not knowing what to do! Thanks again John.

Trey, when I was making models with my dad, airbrushes for modelling were unheard of, so it had to be brushes, and I guess I'm too long in the tooth to change now!

Cheers,

Ron

Fantastic looking aircraft mate.

The photo's really show it off to a tee :)

Thanks Colin, glad you like my offering and good to read I'm not alone with just my brushes to paint my models....

Another consideration is the cost. I just ain't got that sort of spare dosh to invest in an A.B. Even if I fancied one!

One bonus too, I can save beer tokens as I never have to use masking tape.

Cheers,

Ron

You guys make it look so easy and the results are stunning.

Cheers
