Completed another one of Academy's 1/72 kits. This one went together nicely, hardly any filler or fit issues, and a nice interior for the scale. Any issues I encountered were tiny accuracy issues easily rectified, and the usual self inflicted problems. All OOB except for the aerial wire. Painted in Humbrol enamels, Metalcote, Tamiya clear paints, and Model Master enamel, finished with with satin and Matt varnishes. I went light on weathering.

Built to represent P-51B-15-NA (42-106750) from the 5th FS, 52nd FG, 15th USAAF, Cerisnola AF Base, Italy, in 1945. Here's a picture of the original aircraft for starters.

Hope you enjoy it. I certainly enjoyed the build, I'd do another one, and they are cheap.

That is a bright little thing. Great job Joe. I've built a couple of the little Academy kits and have always liked them.

Beautiful build joe , the B type mustang often gets unfairly overlooked by kit makers and modellers . Lovely nat metal finish , cheers tony
