Hasegawa 1/72 kit of the A6M5c Zero Type 52 Hei. This version featured an armament of one 13.2 mm Type 3 machine gun added in each wing outboard of the cannon with the 7.7 mm gun on the left side of the cowl deleted. Four racks for rockets or small bombs were installed outboard of the 13 mm gun in each wing. The wing itself received further panels and strengthening, and cockpit armour was also increased. Because of increased weight, the Type 52 was mostly used on B-29 interception and ‘special attack’ duties. The majority of A6M5c were built by Nakajima.

Build was OOB, paints and finishing materials by Ammo.

Looks great. Love the metallic blue primer.
Thanks Tim. I tried a blend of green and blue clear over silver, but that lifted with the Maskol so I replaced it with metallic blue. I think there is some artistic licence in the Aotake colour

I’ve got the Mr Color version Joe, and it looks pretty close to yours :thumb2:

A very nice result Joe. These aircraft must have looked clean and tidy at least once in their life.
