I blame the heat, virus and Mr Race!!!

This is to go with my first go at a dio, a StuG.A2 passing a knocked out T34. I am using this kit and its very old, the polly cap sprue says 1987, I was about 9 yrs old then:tongue-out3:

Built up the hull and an attempt at showing two hits which did not penetrate and the killer blow a stright through on the hull side

Hope it looks ok, nothing like anothers opinion!!

Cheers bob

That looks good to me Bob, sounds like an interesting idea.
Ralph, 4BO is the Russian green paint, you learn these things hanging around with Comrade Race, talking of which, 4BO has been mentioned & he hasn't appeared....

Nice start Bob. It might not be a Stug , but It's a Stug kill.
Oh yes lol

Finished it apart from the fuel tanks. Fit and quailty is poor but to be fair its a oldie!

Going to put a few holes in the fuel tanks and to be fair they are moulded with dents.

Not 100% sure about the shell damage

Bob

You have sold yourself short on the damage to the Russian infidel Bob!. Surely a Stug would have blown it sky high with its turret landing at least half a mile away!:smiling5::smiling2:

(Ah well that's me in the dog house with JR now)

Wonderful work Bob. It really will look the perfect scene when they are both together.

Thanks Steve, appreciated!

To be fair it was not expensive to buy, now whats half a mile in 1 35 scale lol

Good stuff Bob.Im sure you are itching to get onto that Stug!.
Rich.

Hey Bob
The Tamiya T-34/76 is still a good kit in my opinion. Looking at your shots I still think that. This will look great with the Stug. Weirdly, I completed a knocked out T-34 in my last diorama.
Looking good so far
Cheers

Thanks Rich, back to the mighty StuG!
Hi Bob. Looking a pictures of anti tank round penetration I think your shot holes need a ridge around them. Look here for examples...
Rest looks the part though......
Thanks Tim, will have a go at altering the hole, appreciate the photo!
Looking good Bob. Well done.

Andrew
Cheers Andrew!

Thanks Paul!

Good kit for building, not a good kit for accuracy :smiling3:
Perhaps not. To be honest, the last T-34 kit I built was the AFV Club kit. I think, for the purposes of a knocked out counterpart to Bob’s Stug and to try out some techniques, it is just fine.

Thats the plan, cheap to buy, easy to make and of course a test bed!!
