A quartet of Ducati. Part 1; The 900

Looking very nice Simon. Did the wheels have an annoying seam all around the spokes? I spent a couple of hours removing said seam on the wheels of my Suzuki.

Yes very annoying, some trace still there, but not really visible now
spent a couple of hours drilling the disc’s with .3 but they look much better now

Looking lovely - I was lucky enough to see the Great Man riding the Ducati at the Isle of Man in 1980 ( not racing, but in a demonstration lap before the racing started, I have got a photo in storage which is good enough for me  )

Looking good, I feel your pain with the red colour, took me ages to get the Protar Ducati looking right.

Andy.

Looks very fiddly with all those painted parts , but looking good with the red on .

Looks OK to me.
If you want red to really pop. Prime with Yellow. Orange will lift it as well.

good luck with this.....ive just done the 916 and enjoyed it......got the 888 to do soon.......the MHR is nice apart from the tricky paint job.....you need a 900SS to complete the set but i think the tamiya one is getting hard to find now
I have the 900 ncr but not the ss there are a few on the web but big money i’ll wait for a bargain to come up not sure what the difference is between the 2 models except the xtra £100+ price mark

That looks excellent Simon. Really smart.
As to the Alclad chrome, I found it best over a gloss black base, sprayed on really sparingly. There is a sweet spot for coverage. Once you have too much paint on the shine is lost. Mind you, there is also chrome finish bare metal foil. Great for chrome trim, but I’ve not used it on something that big.
