Hi guys and gals
Does anyone know how you are supposed to extend the brushes on Tamiya Glue bottles?
When I try to do so, the head falls off. Therefore once the bottle is only half empty or half full (depending on your point of view) I have to order a replacement bottle, because the brush cannot reach the glue.

I did mine a different way to the video. I removed the normal-length brush from the lid. I then cut 5mm off the end of an old Tamiya Cement brush and put that on the long pin inside the lid. I then put the normal-length brush back on. I did this years ago and transfer the lid to the next new bottle. It has never fallen off:

Mine just seem to want to fall off that pin when pulled down a few mm, perhaps a little crimp on the end of the tube with pliers then pop it back on could do the trick.

I just use an old nylon paint brush…..as long as you put the lid back on it’s not a problem.

Seriously?? a YouTube tutorial on how to use liquid cement applicators?.......and why is there no instruction sheet packed with the bottle, if it is that complicated? :tongue-out3:

Buy a new bottle. When that's half empty, top it up with the old one.

I've always used nylon fine tipped paint brush to apply the cement until I found out it could be extended. Don't simply pull it out...just gently slide it until you feel a catch. It will stay. You fellas are just heavy handed and if all fails just used a nylon paint brush. Just be sure to remove the brush from the lid. If you like using the Tamiya lid brush then fasten that onto a pin vise or tape it onto a wooden dowel.

Going to have to drop 'da bomb' here.
options:
Use a fine paintbrush
Warm the plastic brush and stretch it. (can catch fire if still contains glue).
Stop buying Tamiya extra thin. Buy Tamiya airbrush cleaner insted ITS THE SAME STUFF. Acetone and Butyl acetate The mix is 49% - 51% in the one and 51% - 49% costs twice the price of Extra thin. You do get 250ml though compared to 40ml in the little glass bottle.
Buy some polyethylene tube and make longer brushes.

I know which I would do...
