Andy,

I think the last one should be like this Uniform
Definitely green
Wow! That`s a cool site Simon:thumb2:,
Thanks for that, and i totally agree with you......Green it is.
I`ll scrap the Miniart guides,(Even the 3 boxes i`m using at the moment differ over numbers!),and go with the books i have instead.....
......Thanks again mate,
Andy

Andy - looking at that box chart it is rather mucked up. There are loads of online paint conversion charts but even they can't agree with each other for example with XF-52 and XF-72 and what they should correspond to in vallejo

Going with the books seems like a better option

Well its all happening here Smiffy!. Hope things are sorted with the ammo box and figures. Looking forward to seeing how they all turn out.

Hi Chaps,it`s Uniform update time!
Steve,thanks mate...... it`s all going.......well,going forwards shall we say!!:confounded:
Graeme,Cheers Bud,yes,maybe TOO MUCH!!!:dizzy:

Ok then,i sorted out the Basic Uniform colours and the Drivers were re done in VJ "Olive Drab" 887.
I`m at the point where i`m just going to titivate the clothing a little, add some P.E. to the Officers, and concentrate on the hands and faces, but i`m certainly no figure painter,so it really will be "Good enough for me" results.
But with everything else going on in the Dio you never know...........
................ I might just get away with it;):flushed::smiling5:...........

Tyre Guy there, followed by leaning Chap........

Final driver is...... "Prancing guy"........
IMG_20200506_172513.jpg
Last up,the 2 officers,(Who are going to be discussing a map) in their Fancy Dan jackets........

So there you have it so far,the pics are "Warts and all",which is a good thing as it helps me spot problem areas......although it does make them appear rather less acceptable than they are in real life!
Thanks for looking in Guys,Take care all,
Andy

Great work on the figures Andy. The Olive drab for the US uniforms is correct - any variations were caused by fading over time.

Nicely done Andy. I would not worry too much about exact colours. See the example below for variants in German uniform.

Fine model work. Am familiar w/US bumper markings. The ones on either side of the yellow bridge cat. square (1945 option) still escape me. Can't find anything close in any of my ref. material. Have never seen stars on top of fenders either. Your model, just wondered on ref. for these as they are new to me. PaulE

Andy.
Looking good, glad my spares in the boot and not bolted onto the entry of the cab :smiling2:.

Figures nice, good point raised by John about colour variations.

Could it be Korean numbering on the rhs bumper ?
I found my ''airfix'' version of this, and the instructions show those decals as ''wc-63 version''

A`noon Paul,
Cheers Buddy! Absolutely no Refs on my part what so ever mate :tears-of-joy: ........ i just make stuff from box suggestions normally, and completely make up my Dio scenarios! (Although i do at least make sure the various AFVs are ok to be shown together timewise).
Thinking of changing Tac in future mind, and picking scenes based on actual footage or pics.

Hello John,
Top stuff thank you Sir,yep, there`s a hell of a difference across the board there eh?!:flushed:
Andy

Thanks for putting that up Gary,
Makes for interesting reading, think i may take more notice of things like that in my future stuff:thumb2:,
Andy
The problem is that we tend to trust the manufacturers to actually do some research, and point out any idiosyncrasies in the info/parts/options.
As I said in another post, the info for the decals is wrong in the Airfix version, which tells you to check the box-art for confirmation of decal positions ....... the vehicle on the cover has no decals except a star on the rear cargo area and appears to be being used on a raid on an airfield.
