Well.I think this is it! I still think the pose is not quite 'right' but I didn't want to ruin the model by ham-handed attempts to bring it round to my way of thinking. My only dislike was the sling that I couldn't get moulded convincingly - so I left it off! If anybody wants a superb model to paint then this must come high on the list, wouldn't mind stripping this off later and re-painting it or buying another from both the company and/or the sculptor. The strange base is rescued from a failed Christmas decoration that had a string of battery powered lights inside a glass dome - therefore Herman has a shiny glass dome to protect him and a very simple groundwork to avoid over-complication. I hope this appeals to you 'figure people' I loved it!

That's really good. Not my genre, and thankfully that means I'll never have to paint camoflage like that - you've done a great job of it!

Steve, this is absolutely superb. You've nailed the camouflage pattern, a difficult subject to paint, that looks spot on. The face looks realistic also, I like the shadowy effect of the flesh tones. Full marks here.

Regards,

Gavin.

Nice one Steve. I like the fact that I can't take my eyes off his stare....somehow it's natural in appearance.

Cheers,
Wabble
