Buccaneer XV336, no 800 Naval Air Squadron, stationed on HMS Eagle during the summer of 1971.
A build with a personal connection. Mr Dad was a designer at Blackburn Aircraft in Brough and worked on the Buccaneer.

Superb build Jim , sorry I missed a lot of the build thread but this is just beautiful. The additions to the nose look fabulous and the base sets it off completely . A great tribute to your dad and a show winning model for the cabinet . Cheers Tony

Beautiful! One of my favourite aircraft and this model in my favourite scheme is superb!

Very nice-looking plane, and the added details like the folded nose cone make it even better.

I followed your build Jim. I know nothing about Buccaneers, but the plane looks wonderfully built. And your scratch build cone fits in beautifully with the overall picture.

HI Jim lovely model NOW did the FOD an ENGINGE covers come with the kit or did you make them an the exsplosive strip in the canopy ? an the canopy did it actually just slide back an not go up ?

Thank you all for the great comments. They mean a lot. Also a big thanks to the committee for the Dog's Award. It will take pride of place with my Blue Peter badge and my Under 10, 1 width doggy paddle swimming certificate.
Chris - The FOD covers are resin aftermarket, the explosive strip on the canopy was in the 3D decals and the canopy did slide back not hinge up.
