Well it’s finally finished, a bit later than I wanted as I was hoping to get it done by the anniversary date.

Thanks to Colin for suggesting an anniversary build to celebrate this historic icon.

The kit was very nice, it went together with no flaws and has a good level of detail for the scale.

Its finished in the colours of RAF No 85 sun when the were based in France before the Germans over ran France.
It’s an earlier fabric winged example but has received a upgraded 3 blade propeller.

Here are the photos 😊

Thanks for looking 👍

Great result Geoff, I also enjoyed watching the build. I wonder if Airfix will do a later metal-winged Mk.1 Hurricane. The first model I built by myself was the Airfix Mk.I/II Hurricane in the very early 1980s

Great finish Geoffers dear boy.I think ive got one lurking in my stash along with a Arma one.Wish Airfix would do metal wing one.Ive never ever built a hurricane or Spitfire ever.Heratic they cry and shame on me.

Cheers Joe, yes a metal winged version from Airfix would be nice but I doubt they’ll bother after Arma have cornered the later Hurricane market 👍

Very nice looking Hurricane Geoff, well done, cheers

Thanks Steve 😊
