AIRFIX 1/72 MK2 SHACKLETON NOT AEW 224 SQUADRON

Very similar to my first build same basic kit, however with lessons learned i have assembled the cabin and cockpit this time i have left out most of the details and just hand painted the cabin area just in case you can see through the windows once fully assembled... added a pilot and co pilot, plus 2 gunners, crew came from the 2 airfix kits however now they have new arms donated by some redundant ground crew ops.
After trial assembly I discovered that the first cabin internal door way clashes with the top gun and so i had to remove this before bonding the 2 fuselage half's together these were again a good match and married up quite welll
now back at work so i imagine progress will slow that been said not sure how these new lock down rules will effect me or the rest of us..
will post more when i have more but in the meantime please stay safe

Simon,
Being technically incompetent I would appreciate your knowledge - how do you get rows of 'thumbnail' images - I've just managed to get one or two 'hoarding' size pictures so far! If it's too complex don't worry - if you could just point the way my Tech Advisor (SWMBO) will step into the breach!

When you click attach files highlight or tick the ones in your album and add as either thumbnails or full images

Thanks Simon - I deeply appreciate any input that lifts me beyond the realms of steam, and softens the impact of my wife's pitying stare as I say " How do I ... ?"

Fantastic simon , a great build of a classic , often overlooked but played a vital role for many years . The prop blurs look great , i see you went for two in the end , good call .
top class build and the stand is excellent too , enables the flight mode without getting in the way , brilliant. Cheers tony

That is very nice. It's not easy achieving convincing blades, but you've done well with that.
