Here are the pictures of the final part of the Lifeboat Trilogy...'The Rescue.'

The figures are Airfix USAAF personnel. The lobster boat is scratch made, and bits are just that...Bits from my spares box.

I hope you like the pictures, and comments and suggestions - clean please - are more than welcome......

In due course, I intend to finish the Trilogy with two of my favorite pictures from each diorama, to kind'a finish the project off properly. Not more bl***y waves!!!!!

Cheers all,

Ron

That is just Fantastic Ron the best of the bunch but what a bunch, great skills and a great use of bits and bobs 5 stars all the way

Excellent stuff matey , I can really feel for those poor buggers in the cold sea . Its been a pleasure watching this boat on its travels through the 3 dios ,and learning a few things about making a seascape along the way . great build mucker! , cheers tony

You're good at this aren't you !!!

Thats bloody fantastic Ron. Treat your self to two more life boats, so you can have all three on a bench at the next show/contest and I can envisage three gongs gold silver and bronze.

(I Pity the poor sods that would have to put them in order though).

Really great work Ron. *****

The only word I can add to those above in 'Inspiring' in the fact that you have inspired me to have a go at something I would never had even looked at before.

A really fantastic build Ron

Steve...Wow is almost all I can come up with too!

Thank you all so much for the great posts on this diorama. I can't think of anything else to write.......Except to thank you again.....

Cheers,

Ron

You can almost hear their cries for help! Another superb job there Ron.

Your builds are a reference for me Ron!

Always think your 'open' mind is terrefic..... amazing ideas, that comes true with your fantastic skills mate!

Great build! I will be waiting your next surprise :)

PS: I still feeling very, very, very sick my friend ;)

Amazing Ron, I have one of these in the stash that I bought years ago. If I can do it just a fraction of the justice you have bestowed upon it I'll be a happy boy! Well done!

Thanks everyone, your posts make for excellent reading!

Polux, you can go ashore now. The rescue is complete.....

Jason, please be aware, whilst the kit is o.k., the safety rails are very thin and difficult to remove from the sprues and the decals are very, very brittle - I suspect mine was quite an old kit.......

Cheers all,

Ron

Ron I just came back for another gander at this......Wow again !

Have you done a" how to" sort of thing for your water anywhere? I'm not joking, it really is the best I've ever seen. If I can get something half as good I'll be over the moon.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Ron,

Yet another truly stunning piece of work Sir, and, as Tony said, you really do feel for the poor buggers in the water, gives me the chills just looking at it...

Huge ***** from me...

Thanks Steve and Andy for your posts. I'm sorry for the delay in replying...been away.

Steve, making the waves is pretty well covered in the builds. It would be difficult to do a 'How to' 'cos it's rather like riding a bike....any amount of words won't come close to hands on. It really is just flicking the silicone about with whatever is to hand....

I think others who have had a go at lively water would agree.......Have a go and practice!

Andy, thanks for the stars too!

Cheers,

Ron
