Superb work , the weathering and different shades of silver really add to the realism . A beautifully built model and lovely clear photos too. Love this , cheers tony

can I ask if you did any extra sanding on the plastic surface to polish it before adding aluminium, or did you sprayed it like that? Cheers

Hi Steven, I didn’t polish the plastic but did prime the model with SMS jet black which gives a high gloss finish,Lovely paintwork mate

I was trying to achieve a more anodised finish to the aluminium to try and make the model look a bit more war weary which I why it has a more patchy appearance on the wings.

That is just superb, after market decals? I don’t recall that scheme in their recent boxings but maybe I just recalled differently. I’m not sure why but I just love the look of the B17’s more than Lancasters. How long does that take you to get something looking that perfect?
Hi Neil, yes aftermarket decals, Kits World, so many schemes out there but perhaps not enough time to do them!!
Depending on my work load, build times vary, this one took a couple of months on and off, which is about average for me.
