I hear the Trumpy Hurricane is better than the old Airfix. I look forward to seeing it.

It does look it Barry and the best thing is its got clear engine guards so you can complete the aircraft without leaving bits off :)

Very nice Alan. Are you going to use the clear covers or just paint it?

Looking forward to it no matter what you do.

I'm using the clear covers as its a shame to not see the engine but saying that I hope to can put the full engine it :)

Tropical schemes always look good to me, and in this scale, should look really good. Nice choice Alan.

It's 12:36 on New Year's Day - haven't you finished this yet Alan? :P

So are we sober yet, LOL

It will be interesting to see how this builds up against the Airfix offering.

I am but now I'm getting over a bout of insomnia Ian lol

I've read the instructions and taken a look at the most important parts ( engine & cockpit ) and I don't think their as good as the Airfix offering especially the instrument panel, all the buttons and dials are there it just looks a bit naff and flat maybe it's just down to scale

I'm very worried about the engine and if you can build the entire engine or not to show it off , I have read a couple of reviews and nothing was mentioned so hopefully it will be ok

'Master' do some nice turned brass cannons with recoil springs for this kit.Go on,you know you want some!.

Nah dave once you've painted them you won't tell the difference lol

Oh yes you will.Take a look at my Spitfire build (when I start it).The brass cannons look amazing.Airfix's kit supplied items are just plastic sticks!.

Cheers

Rick is looking for some Hurricane instruments for his build. Maybe he could get in touch with you for a scan of that panel? http://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/ricks-airfix-1-24-hawker-hurricane-mk1.29347/

Will watch the build, another Hurricane is always good to see. Looks like a nice kit.
