Scale Model Shop

And today's prize for oversized packaging boxes goes to........

What surprises me so much these days is that nobody seems to realise they could have wrapped the thing you’re buying into the brown paper they’re using to fill the empty space in the box. OK, this looks like it could get crushed, so that would not be ideal, but anything that’s already in a box, doesn’t need a second box with filling material around it.

LOL…..I had a single paintbrush delivered this week, in an A4 sized box…..

At least Andrew could see his item….I thought I’d been sent an empty box for a few seconds….

In fairness a label wouldn’t fit on that it would wrap round, but also some couriers charge more for sending tubes because they roll off the conveyor belt, DPD once charged me £20 extra because it was a tube, needless to say I’ve not made that mistake again.

You can get postal tubes with a triangular cross-section so they don't roll.

Stops the vans driving with to much weight.

Total waste of resources if you ask me.

At least the paper packaging is recyclable.
Save on waste...big box, little item...yeah, that'll do.

Thanks chaps for the serious and humorous posts. Interesting to hear John that you get charged extra for tubes!

And just to show it can be done properly......these have been two arrivals from a small supplier in the past couple of weeks.
