Andys MG Metro 6R4, Belkits 1/24

Lots of detail in this kit for you to get your teeth into. Still marvelling at that engine.
Thanks. I keep looking at it and there's still so much work to do.

Next job is to check how much movement I can get into the suspension. If I'm displaying it on jack stands there would be some sag. I'm not sure if it's possible, but I'll give it a shot.

The there's the figures, accessories, base.

Better get cracking :tears-of-joy:

Whilst figuring out what to do with the suspension I've started to put the interior together. I added some rudimentary battery leads to jazz things up a little

:smiling5:Very nicely done, see you have a wheel brace included like me however Subaru must have had a bigger rally budget because mine is chromed!
Looking forward to further updates.

I don't know if this interior is true to the Metro. But I can't help wondering, how much of the original Metro is in a 6R4 ?

According to 6r4.net, only 16 panels are the same as as the production car, with 347 unique to the 6r4, so very little lol

Thanks again for staying with me guys.

Dash and door cards are now painted & fitted. There were decals for the fuse & relay panel, many of the switches, and the mileage computer, but I decided to paint them instead:

Only thing missing is the seats. Since the harnesses are made from ribbon and 22 tiny etch pieces, I need my full concentration for that! Hopefully should be done soon though.

When I asked one of the vauxhall mechanics about the BRDC cars he said the shape was the only common factor!!! Makes ya laugh really!!

Andy, looking very nice indeed the dash looks very convincing.
Thanks Paul, I put a fair amount of time into it and I think it paid off.

That is truly exceptional detailing, you must have a very steady hand to paint those bits n bobs.
Thank you, I drew the line at the dials though! No way I could make those look as good as the decals. Fixing the dash to a heavy block helped keep it steady.

I'm currently painting the window rubbers. They really do need a steady hand :flushed:

You do know it's cheating taking pics of a real 6R4 and pssing it off as a model kit!! Ha!

Brilliant, simply brilliant!

Ha ha, thanks. I had a hell of a job lifting it onto the bench for pictures :tears-of-joy:

Well done Andy, great painting skills mate.
Thanks. I hope I can still see enough of it once the body is fitted.
