At last the undercarriage is done and on , and its nearly ready to stand on its own 3 feet! All thats left now is a final misting over with matt varnish , and attaching the clear parts under the nose and various aerials and the IFR probe. The biggest headache is going to be finding somewhere to put it. Heres a few pics of the undercarriage in situ , cheers tony

That's looking excellent Tony! Those 'holes' work really well. This has been a quality build.

Cheers

Ta Daa!!!!!! At last i'm calling this done, all the final delicate bits are on and im happy with the result. I reckon its a fair resemblance to a TU 22 RD now , a beautiful looking aircraft and one of my all time favourites (which probably explains why i couldnt accept the poor offering out of the box!) Hopefully i'll be putting some better pics on a 'completed' thread tomorrow weather permitting . heres a taster , cheers tony

Wow Tony, this is some kit bash! This is all fascinating stuff.

Where are you getting your reference from for the alts? Do you have tech drawings or are you working from photographs? I'm really interested to see how this kit comes off the operating table? I'm sure all the cosmetic surgery will work wonders and you'll have another super model ( or supermodel!) on your hands.

Cheers

Tony all the hard work and effort that you have put into this model has really paid off. I'm looking forward to those final photos but to me it's a 5* already.

Thanks guys, glad you approve. Paul , i got all my info from reviews , looking at pics of the resin correction set on e-bay!! and LOADS of time spent poring over photographs - good photos are worth their weight in gold , and as i have found out theres a lot of conflicting , dodgy drawings and profiles out there!! (and not that many good photos!!!)cheers tony

as I said before, this thread is going to be very resourceful when I start mine! Keep up the good work!

Great job Tony. The shading is very nice. It looks as if it could have been OOB. But we all know how much effort went into the build. Steerling effort old chap.

Oh, forgot - 12 pages !

Nice work buddy deserve a nice shiny 5 stars for that one, loads of scratch builds.
