Funny coincidence, we had one yesterday doing exactly the same, just sat in the bird bath for about ten minutes then flew away.Snapped in the middle of a rain storm a wood pigeon sat in our bird bath nothing more to said
Yes Ian , they can be quite a pain, not so much as their presence or the negligable amount of feed they may consumeLast pigeon that took a bath in our garden got grabbed by a hawk. One minut it was there, the next a big cloud of feathers.
Often get visits from a falcon that comes looking for mice. One day I'll have a camera close at hand!
Personally I would welcome more hawks and the such. Might keep the pigeons out of the veggie garden!
