HI Andrew it might do as im building her as fast as life will let me as been out a fair bit visting freinds before christmas an shoppin every wk an i hate that as it take so long to find what we want as supermaket lot keeps movin things around so got to hunt for things an that takes time AaaaaaccchhhhhHi Chris
Sorry got very behind on this. It looks great with lights on really atmospheric!! You must be really pleased? Will she be hitting the pond next year?
All the best.
Andrew
HI Neil yes i am as i wasnt quite sure wheather i could sqeezse two big 1/72 seakings on the flightdeck even though it is 20 inches long but i think i have managed it to look fairly realistic an now when i get round to it to fit another two seakings in the hangars bein worked on by maintance crews but im not goin to put to much detail in the hanger as it wont be seen so i dont want to waste time on them as still a few more things to fit on tiger an at the moment im makein up the big safety netting thats fitted on the side of the ship an folds down an up againLovely helo shots Chris, you must be very pleased
HI MR Wabble an i presume you mean the lights on the ship eh ? an yes she could be lit up for xmas but no one would see them as its up in my man cave an yes she does look good i think all lit up as it brings the model to life an yes got plenty of workin parts an yes they all work an today got two more eletric gadgets an they are power boosters .Hi Chris, been checking through the pages and noticed you were checking the lights for Christmas. What a great light show and enjoyed it. The last time I saw such a display was on New Years Eve. Are you allowed on the lake at night? That would be a sight.
The helis look good too. Can't imagine it's been how long now seeing it just in wood and plaster and now it's alive with working parts. Good job. The launch will be incredible. Hope you're doing a video as John suggested. I thought I saw him with the rabble on that contraption Matron hired for the trip to the launch.
You sure it still needs a couple more years to the finish line? Looks like it's raring to jump into the water. :thumb2:
Cheers,
Richard aka Wabble.

It looks very impressive....I am have no idea what it is.... But it's still looking impressive!![]()
HI ALL
WELL ive got near everything wireded up on her apart from the aperture lights in the rear hull section but so it helps with the power reqirements i have bought x2 power booster to help with that an in the first pic its a 6 v feed an a 6v output on the meter an it can be ajusted up wards so if the batt starts to run low i should still get my power reqirement that i need for the ship
an here ive increased the power on the portenshiner screw up to 12v from 6v an it shows on the meter dont know if they will be any good but to me the meter is not lyin
close up of the unit
so i'll see if they will do the job that i reqiure of them to do but wont know till i try it
chrisb
MANY THANKS Jim yes im learning to be both lolAmazing stuff Chris. As always your dedication does you credit. You're not only a skilled modeller but an electrician as well :smiling:
HI Andrew well for a start its a power booster an if you look at the first meter reading you will see it says 6. 17 v from a 6v batt yea an in the second meter reading the unit still powered from 6 volts batery an it now shows 12.15 volts so the unit has doubled the power an it can be increased or decreased as if the batt is beginnig to run down through powering all the lights an radar motors an such this little unit will keep the power at 12 volts on constanly till the batt gets really low then it will cut out but i will not allow the batt to get that low so no worries as this is I THINK similar to an alternator in your car it will keep the power constant but i wont know till ive wired them both into the ships wirein harness to try them out an that will be later on in the wk as im goin to fit all the ship togeather an try them out so its a big ? MARK at the moment so Andrew i hope this helps you understand what this unit is an doesIt looks very impressive....I am have no idea what it is.... But it's still looking impressive!
Keep up the great work Chris!
ATB.
Andrew
HI Gerry the chopper are held down on the deck the eletric one by gold pins that slide out when i want to remove it an the SAR chopper is again held to the deck by steel pins so no worryies about them comin off the deck untill i lift them off ok an got a problem on her motors again as they havnt been run for months as one lot will go but not the others until i hit the back motors cut off switch an then the motors nearest the stern will go but now all four motors wont run but they ran before so there is a logical exsplanation why i now have this trouble so tomorrow i will have to try an find out what the problem isWill the choppers be fixed to the deck, or be free standing? Just wouldn't want to go for a paddle if they're free standing and Tiger hit a little rough water.
If I'm able, I'll be there for the launch, along with a couple of video cameras with empty sd cards and charged batteries.
many thanks Bob mate but i'll aggree on that if i can get them motors to run propberlyUp to your usual high quality work Chris, excellent!!
